Because of the strike of the screenwriters at the end of 2007 many TV series stopped for a while, but in january-february this year it seems that everything got back to normal. Prison break and lost are continuing and they are filming and releasing the new episodes. For some reason i decided to check the heroes IMDB page and noticed that they stopped season 2 at Episode 11 - Powerless and the new season(Season 3) will be viewable starting with 7th September 2008.

I wonder that did this happen because some of the actors from Heroes are playing in other movies in production:

Hayden Panettiere - Hoodwinked 2: Hood vs. Evil (2008) (filming) (voice) …. Red

Masi Oka - GS: Get Bruce and Lloyd (2008) (V) (filming) …. Bruce

One thing is for sure: we will have to wait almost 7 months to see a new episode from Heroes, this gives us enough time to watch Lost and Prison break from start to the end

I accidentally saw the trailer of Meet the spartans on a movie previews website and to be honest it looked great and fun, but after watching it i realized that the sucks so bad.

If you like parodies than you probably saw Epic movie which has a 2.3/10 rating on IMDB and was one of the worst movies made in 2007. Heck,Epic Movie is nothing compared to Meet The Spartans where you laugh more of the way the movie is made and the crap filming and storyline. The only cool things in this movie were Carmen Electra’s breasts. Really.

In the movie they make fun of:

300 & Transformers - The whole movie is a parody of 300. In the wild Leonidas will become turn into a man from a boy after killing a large penguin which looks fake. In the movie all the spartan men are gay or bisexual because they do hi5 with women and kiss men. Leonidas will lead his army made out of 14 soldiers who were selected based on their appearance. The role of Xerxes the god king is played by that fat guy from Borat. The battle between the spartans and persians will consist in a rap battle. The huge presian army is made out of like 15 persian soldiers and a big blue screen behind them in which a hologram of the duplicated army is projected. In the end the spartans will be crushed by the robot in which Xerxes morphed into after finding the transformers cube.

Shrek - in the beginning where its shown the way the powerful spartan babies are selected, baby Shrek is in the main plan and he burps on the prophet who kicks him into the pit like a rugby ball(lol)

The movie also makes fun of Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.

It also makes fun of some other moves but the scenes were short and i don’t really remember because i wasn’t paying much attention, lol.

Conclusion: If you want to watch a boring “comedy” with VERY few funny moments then go ahead and watch Meet the spartans.

According to IMDB the sequel of the popular movie Crank is in PRE-PRODUCTION and it will be finished and launched in 2009.

The sequel’s title is Crank 2: High Voltage , everything is fine with it, the only problem is that the main character Chev Chelios( Jason Statham) died in Crank, after jumping out of the helicopter(without a parachute ofcourse) and brutally landing on a car and smashing his head.

Overall it was a great movie, with lots of cool stuff and wasn’t filled with Cliché’s, but it had a bad ending for a sequel.

Because of this the plot of Crank 2: High Voltage sounds hilarious:

Chelios faces a Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working.

If you read the IMDB board about this movie, you will find lots and lots of critiques. Everyone’s saying that this movie has no purpose and it’s stupid that they made a sequel.

I hate to admit it but i agree with them. Well till i will see the movie and find out how they revived Chev

Today i had some spare time so i watched Hitman(the movie). In the beginning its specified that the movie was created based on the highly popular game Hitman created by eidos.

The movie begins with flash-backs in the past of Agent 47. Its presented the way kids trained at the agency and the way they were selected and treated. Each kid got a number, not a name, the movie’s main character being Agent 47.

Everything goes well till he has to complete the asasination of President Mikhail Belicoff(russian president). He will slowly find out that he’s been set up and that Belicoff has doubles and will do anything to get to power.

He meets a prostitute named Nika(the agency told him she is a witness and that she needs to be eliminated) who he will protect after finding out that the agency set him up.

He decides to take revenge and starts causing pain by killing those who Belicoff cares(his brother,affiliates) till he gets to him and eventually kills him.

In the movie Agent 47 is a highly trained assasin who can get out of any situation and he has a great observing capability. No situation goes unanalised, everything is planned:each action,each assasination,each spot. Nothing can take his mind off his mission, not even women.

I recommend you watch this movie, and you will really enjoy it especially if you played the game. Its filled with special effects and lots of battle tactics with lots and lots of action(although some situations are exagerated).

Okay so back in 2002 on ProTV there was a TV series: The Invisible Man in which the main characters were Darien Fawkes and Bobby Hobbes who both worked at The Agency. The main skill of Fawkes was that he could turn invisible thanks to a synthetic gland that his brother put in his head and Bobby was always there with him in every mission.

I watched a few episodes and i really liked the effects and the way the actors acted, also the storyline was great, also it had a bit of humor and each episode ended with a cool quote.

Getting back to the main point of this post: What i wanted to do is buy the series from Amazon, well check out this for a surprise: They DONT HAVE a good version of it!

Alright…now why the heck would i watch 45 episodes with annoying dutch subtitles embeded on it?(no offense to the dutch people, but i just aint dutch and i prefer subs in my own language or none)

Solution?

So what i did is download both seasons from ThePirateBay via BitTorrent, they are great DVD quality and no annoying subtitles and i only waited 2 days for the downloads to finish

I know you are saying: “but its warez…” , well yeah it is, but if you would really want to watch a tv series and it wouldn’t be available in stores but it would be available on the internet what would you do? Just put yourself in my shoes here.

Of course if i will see that both seasons are available in High Definition format i will surely buy it and watch it(the experience is not the same)

It’s probably the best animation movie i’ve seen in my entire life. I rarely watch animation movies, some of them are really childish. Till i watched Surf’s up my favorite animation movie was Ratatouille but this movie’s just brilliant.

To be honest my favorite character was Chicken Joe(voice:Jon Heder), the way he behaves and the things he does spice up the movie and make it more fun than ever. The most funniest scene is when he is captured by the native penguins who want to cook him and he thinks they consider him as their leader and made him a hot bath.

The animation is brilliant, the water looks almost like its real along with the waves, characters,sand,jungle and all the effects.

The voices are also great and fit the characters, by this way making the movie fully enjoyable and fun along with lots of funny jokes.

Storyline:

The young hero, Cody Maverick(voice:Shia LaBeouf) in his childhood meets Big Z(voice:Jeff Bridges) who gives him a necklace. From that point Cody starts surfing.

In 10 years he gets the chance to participate in the annual Penguin World Surfing Championship. On Penguin island he will meet Geek and Lani(voice:Zooey Deschanel) along with Chicken Joe (who he meets on the transporting whale).

In a short matter of time he finds out that Geek is Big Z and he gets Big Z to train him for the competition. He builds a custom surf board and participates in the competition where his biggest rival is Tank(voice:Diedrich Bader) .

In the competition he stops Tank from turning over Chicken Joe, and he doesn’t win the competition but learns that its not just all about winning.

The movie ends with everyone heading to the north part of the beach and surf and have fun.

Today, as usual on sundays i don’t work much, so i decided that while eating breakfast il watch Species 4 - The awakening since i saw the previous episodes, why miss this one?

I was very dissapointed with it

It’s nothing compared to Species I and Species 2: Origins ,the video effects and the overall storyline highly suggests that it was a low-budget movie.

There are lots and lots of conversations that are useless and boring and you can notice they we’re just put there to lenghten the movie.

The beginning of the movie was pretty good but starting from the hospital scene everything got boring, predictable and unenjoyable. You could almost see what will happen next.

Storyline: 

The main line of the movie is that a girl name Miranda is created from a mixture of human and alien DNA, Hollander raises her as his own daughter, but  she gets out of control and after killing her boyfriend she kills lots of people at the hospital.

At this point Hollander will take her to mexico to McGuire(his collegue on the project) to help her. He finds out that Miranda is dying and the only way to save her is to get her a young female and transplant hormons from her to Miranda. They kidnap a prostitute who wanted to rob Hollander and do the transplant. After the transplant Miranda changes and starts killing people. In the end of the movie there is a fight between Miranda and Azura(she is a hybrid also), Myranda kills Azura and asks Hollander to end this. Hollander blows up McGuire’s laboratory and hideout and the movie ends.

The written above is the essence of the move, when watching it you will realize the same: its a BAD science fiction movie and NOT-Scary at all.

The only thing i don’t understand is How the heck did it get a 6.0/10 rating at IMDB? Some people are terrible at rating movies.

Conclusion: You can watch the movie in 20minutes by jumping from one part to other, don’t expect thrilling, and great action and stunt scenes. 

Alejandro and Maya find Sylar passed out on the road. Sylar claims that he got attacked and mugged and he lost everything. They stop at a gas station where Sylar kills Derek, and tells Maya that he is a personal friend of Dr Suresh, and he finds out about Maya’s powers. He promises that he will take them to Dr. Suresh who will be able to cure Maya.

Parkman talks to Nathan Petrelli and aks him to help find the killer of Nakamura. Nathan reveals a picture where Bob is also present(the guy who hired mohinder) and Parkman’s father also. Parkman’s father ran away with the money he stole when Matt Parkman was 13 years old, since than Matt didn’t see nor hear from him. Matt asks Molly to find his father. It turns out that Parkman’s father is the guy in Molly’s dreams. Molly find Parkman’s father but she passes out. MatT reads her mind and she is screaming “Matt help me”.

Claire and her boyfriend fly to the top of the HOLLYWOOD sign, her boyfriend asks her to trust him. To prove he’s trustworthy he asks Claire to jump. She Jumps but he flies beneath her and grabs her. Claire decides to continue their relationship, she lies to her parents that she started cheerleading again.

Benet and the haitian decide to go to Odessa in Ukraine, Benet starts thinking of what lie to tell the family.

There wasn’t anything about Peter Petrelli in this episode, lets hope in next episode we will have a surprize and he will open the box, and get his memories back :D.

The story continues…

Peter agrees to take part in the heist, but when they are planning the job he reads one of his “comrad’s” mind and hears that he wants to keep the money for himself.During the heist a problem appears and Peter uses his telekinetical power and moves a car in front of the guards who want to run after them. Eventually they pull it off. At the end he gets his misterious box, but he is in a dilemma…he doesn’t want to open it being afraid of what he might be.

Claire has a new boyfriend who is also special, he can fly, and he shows this to Claire, comforting her that her secret is safe with him.Clarie finds out that he was obducted by her father a few years ago and he got an izotope injected in him also.

Claire’s father gets a picture from Mohinder of the last painting, in the painting he is shown dead, while in the background Claire is kissing someone.

Mohinder goes home and he gets a lab setup at Isac Mendez-es place, the organization is watching his every move.

Maya and Alejandro are running towards the american border, Alejandro wants to steal a car but gets caught, Maya frees him and an other prisoner who has a car and they continue their journey.

Niki drops of Micah at his grandmother, she goes to the organization hoping that she will get cured.

Sylar wakes up next to Chandice. He can’t use his powers, Chandice gives him a preview of what she can do, sylar kills her hoping that he will take her powers, but it seems that he still can’t use any of his powers.

Thats about it, i hope i covered everything, i can’t wait for next monday for the next episode.
