The Dark Knight |
WOW! I saw this movie on the weekend. I am not a real big Batman fan but this is a great movie and probably the best of the series. Heath Ledger made an excellent Joker with his funny jokes, insanity and just the darkness of his character that wasn’t shown in Jack Nicholson’s version of the Joker. Everyone knew that Ledger was behind the makeup but he did such a good job of acting as the Joker, you really thought it was someone completely different then Ledger. IMO it is Ledgers best work and unfortunately its was his last. One of my favorite parts of the movie was towards the beginning and it shows how dark this Joker is, he went into a room that was filled with mobsters, drug lords and other hooligans who were having a meeting. He was playing with a pen on the table and said “How about a magic trick? I’m going to make this pen disappear.” He grabbed one of the hooligans and slammed his head right onto the pen, therefore it disappeared and yes it was magic. lol It was evil yet funny at the same time. All I wanted to do was watch the Joker and forget about what Batman was doing cause the Joker was that much more interesting. Christian Bale did a good job as being Batman but the only thing that kind of bothered me was his voice when he was Batman, it was a little too raspy like he was forcing it. Overall it is a fun movie to watch and even Batman was a little darker then the rest of the movies in the series. If you haven’t seen it yet and like Batman or action flicks then go and see it, you won‘t be disappointed.

Max Payne the movie |

Ever since i was a little boy i liked Max Payne. My favorite game was Max Payne, my idol was Max Payne. I wanted to be this Video Game person. A few year later, when i heard that Take two announced Max Payne 2, i was shocked, but happy in the same time. My favorite game had now a continue! I got Max Payne 2 for a friend who had internet. In those days i only had dial-up, and it was pretty hard hard and expensive to download a full game. Anyway… i loved Max Payne 2. It was awesome! It had everything you’ll ever want from a video game.
A few month ago i read in a IT magazine a article: “Take two announced Max Payne 3″. I shouted out loud: “YES! Max Payne 3 is coming!”, My brother looked at me saying “WTF?!” lol. Unfortunately, Max Payne 3 will appear in 2009 
. But, until then, Max Payne the movie will be in cinemas from 17 October 2008 (USA). Iron Man – A great Marvel tale |
The movie’s premiere was on 14th april in Sydney. The premiere in US took place on 2nd May, 10 days ago. This is a movie which was awaited by millions since the beginning of last year.
This is the second best Marvel movie(after Fantastic 4), the story line is great, but there are a few impossible things…how the hell do you build in a cave a damn core to power a suit? Anyway, leaving that fact behind the movie was a great one and Robert Downey Jr is the ideal actor to play Tony Stark‘s role. As i read Tom Cruise and Nicholas Cage also wanted to put on the suit(iron man suit), but eventually Downey was chosen.
I don’t get Nicholas Cage…he played in Ghost Rider and now he wants to play in all Marvel movies? Ghost Rider compared to Iron Man is crap(a big minus is also that they could have chosen someone more ideal for Ghost Rider).
I’m a fan of Downey, mostly after i saw the movie Kiss Kiss Bang Bang which was an exceptional movie! That movie is part of my top 100 movies list.
In comic books Iron Man is a very well respected super hero by the children. In my youth i really liked him, and mostly that he keeps his identity secret just as the rest of the super heroes. In the end of the movie Stark at a conference says: “The truth is…i am iron man” and at this point all the journalists jump up.
Iron Man is the Marvel movie of the year. I highly doubt that Hulk 2 will match the prestige of Iron Man and i also doubt that it will cash in as much money as Iron man. You know what they say: the first movie is great but the sequel sucks hard.
I won’t present you the story line and spoil the movie for you. Its such a good movie that its worth being watched. If you don’t have money or if the premiere will be later this year in your country check out the torrent sites because you will find some great quality CAM releases

First sunday movie – Not even half funny as first friday |
I really like Ice cube, but i got disappointed by this movie. It’s not even half funny as Next friday. The movie’s main storyline is built on a heist that Durell and LeeJohn, more precisely robbing a church.
This is a bit absurd, but that makes it funny. Who would actually rob a church? Even atheists are afraid of God, and they wouldn’t start messing with Him.
I watched it with the desire to see a such great movie like Next friday, but as said above i got pretty disappointed. Give me back the price of the cinema ticket!
Anyway, the movie blows, it’s so predictable whats going to happen, and filled with Clichés, so it’s pretty much a time waster.
Here’s the story line:
Durell and LeeJohn are 2 great friends, who get in trouble mostly because of Leejonhn’s messups(like stealing stuff). Durell is a great electrician but he gets kicked out because Leejohn wanted to steal a TV from the service where they worked. He tries to find a job, but fails. That’s when Leejohn sais that he got them a job.
He takes Durell to Bahka, a local moonshiner, who gives them 10 wheel chairs with chromed wheels and stuff(sort of pimp my wheelchair) for 1,200$ a piece(“1,200$ a piece, you do the maths”). They get arrested once again, and instead of going to prison they have to do 8000hours of community work.
Durell finds out that his X will move to Atlanta and will take his son away from him if he doens’t come up with 17,000$ to pay the rent. This pushes him to get into the heist planned by Leejohn, which won’t go quite as expected.
They will find out that almost every leader from the church’s administration is there along with the quire. He will also find out that someone stole the money before them. In the end it will turn out that the deacon wanted to steal the money.
Their hostages in the end will help them escape, but they get busted by the cops anyway,and put in front of the court again. They will be found not guilty due to lack of witnesses on the other side(deacon gets threatened with testimonial against him for stealing the church’s money).
Last but not least Durell gets a donation from the church’s administrators and he can keep his son next to him, and the movie ends with HAPPY END.

The Ultimate Gift Movie Review |
Lately i watch more and more movies..especially because at college i’
m stressed because of the finals that are coming up, here at home i have to work, so a bit of relaxation is great(as an addition to going out with my girlfriend)
In this post i will present you my review of The Ultimate Gift which is a great movie that presents the difficulties that an average person experiences in life.
It’s a really touching movie, and if you will watch it with your girlfriend she will most probably get soft.
I don’t usually watch similar movies, but last night this was the only movie i didn’t watch, and i was lazy to do down to the DVD rental to rent a movie(yes..i was also lazy to download an other movie, because when i start downloading stuff i set like 10-20 items to download and my pc is almost dying on me).
Storyline:
Jason Stevens(Drew Fuller)’s grand father(Red Stevens) dies and it’s up to Ted Hamilton(Bill Cobbs) to split the money to the Stevens family according to Red’s will.
Every one in the family is after the money, except Jason who doesn’t really care about anything, because he blames his grand father for the death of his father.
Red’s will states that after finding out what he/she got the family member has to leave the conference room. Every one leaves, Jason who was sitting in the hall is called in the conference room by Hamilton who proposes him a chance to get a ultimate gift from Red.
Red before his death recorded a series of videos to give out the tasks to Jason who will find out that the gifts aren’t money but life’s gifts( for example:the gift to love).
Jason always spent the money, partied all his life and never worked, nor struggled with problems(typical rich guy).
During his first “mission” Jason realizes that he needs to complete the task to move on to the next gift.
Trough his “journey” he will meet Alexia(Ali Hillis) who has a daughter with leukemia. He gets really attached to them, because he knows that they don’t love him for his money, like his x-girlfriend did.
He completes all the tasks and gets his reward, 100 Million $.
He tries to do his best to help Alexia and her daughter but eventually Emily(daughter) dies. This inspires him to build a private hospital for children with really bad diseases.
In the end he will find out that his grand father left him the rest of his fortune( 3 billion $ if i remember correctly) and the movie ends with the start of the construction of the hospital.

Just finished watching Jackass 2.5 |
Now i’m 100% sure that all the guys who play in jackass(including staff) are wacked, but…i still like them(in a non gay way of course).
Jackass 2.5 was released because they shot way too many scenes for Jackass 2 and they had to release them. This part of jackass contains comments of the actors/staff about how they filmed, from where they got the ideas and what stupid things they did to each other on the set.
I don’t like Bam Margera since i saw the video of him going to dracula castle here in Romania, and insulting people saying that we never saw a ferrari.
Still one of my favorite actors is Johnny Knoxville , he’s one funny guy, and also the general in Jackass 2.5.
There are some scenes that will make you want to puke(for example when they drink the spit of other people…just thinking of it makes me want to puke) or the scene where Steve-O gets a fart in his face.
There are also cool scenes, for example the scene with the bed of nails and the cobras, or the one with that cannibal tribe who also cut themselves.
You have to watch it, not just hear about it. Trust me…this part of jackass contains the MOST wacked stunts that exist.
Heads up: Jackass 3 is arriving in 2009, these guys never know when enough is enough…

The bank job Movie overview |
My friend Laura did it again! She got tickets to The Bank Job Movie (for free of course). So we went and watched it and it definitely worth going!
Jason Statham is one of my favorite actors. I really enjoy viewing movies he stars in(still my favorite movie that he stared in is Snatch)because i know that the movie is worth watching and it’s not one of those lame low budget movies.
The second main character in the movie is played by Saffron Burrows , she knows to act but i didn’t really enjoy her(because she’s a bit bony).
The bank job presents a true story of a heist where everything went bad! The story takes place in the 1970′s in a world of crime and corruption.
Martine(Saffron Burrows) is hired by a MI5(british intelligence agency) agent to steal pictures of the princess of the royal family. She contacts her old friend Terry(Jason Statham) who did some minor heists to assemble a team and do the job saying that they are robbing the bank for money and jewelry.
Terry assembles the team and they rent out a place near the bank and they dig a tunnel under it till they reach the vault. In the vault Terry realizes why they did the heist and knows that the sex pictures with the princess and the book of dirty officers book(a log made by a criminal where he wrote the names of the cops who he bribed) is their only way out of the mess.
They get away with the money by giving the pictures to Lord Drysdale who promises them immunity and by giving the book of dirty officers to the chief of the police.
After this major arrests of corrupt cops are held in the Scotland Yard.
This movie combines action and comedy and will keep you in front of the screen till the end of the movie. Each role is played perfectly, and the movie will give you the feeling of the 1970′s involving the reality of that period.

A bit of bad news for torrent users is that the DVDRIP version of the movie won’t come soon because the DVD release isn’t even announced yet, so if you want to watch it go to the cinema or watch the crappy CAM version.

2012 Doomsday – One of the worst movies i’ve ever seen |
Today i decided to watch 2012 Doomsday because i wanted to watch a cool sci-fi movie. It turned out that the movie is crap.
Starting from the storyline to the way the actors act and the way the scenes were filmed. I don’t understand how can someone produce/direct/write a such horrible movie. No wonder it’s rated 1.6 stars over at IMDB.
The main storyline of the movie is that the world stops turning and volcanoes start to erupt, tornadoes are formed and unusual activities of nature appear(snow in Mexico).
The whole movie’s storyline is made around the plot that the Mayans 2000 years ago predicted that this will happen and now 4 people need to save the world(ye,yes they are all americans and all of them have the feeling that they have to go to the pyramid).
Even from the beginning of the movie you can notice how sucky the filming is and how it shows that it might be a low-budget movie.
The most important scene of the movie is that scene where scientists from US geological survey center(all of them are americans) figure out what’s going on. – this is what’s funny at most low budget hollywood movies, in each part of the world everyone speaks fluent english and Americans always save the world without the help of other countries.
The funniest part was when Lloyd is talking to his daughter who’s in Mexico. The line is breaking up and for like 1 minute the frames are switching between the 2 characters who are yelling to each other “I love you!”
My suggestion is that if you don’t want to waste your time don’t watch this movie. It blows.

Heroes Season 3 will start only on 7th September 2008 |
Because of the strike of the screenwriters at the end of 2007 many TV series stopped for a while, but in january-february this year it seems that everything got back to normal. Prison break and lost are continuing and they are filming and releasing the new episodes. For some reason i decided to check the heroes IMDB page and noticed that they stopped season 2 at Episode 11 – Powerless and the new season(Season 3) will be viewable starting with 7th September 2008.
I wonder that did this happen because some of the actors from Heroes are playing in other movies in production:

Masi Oka – GS: Get Bruce and Lloyd (2008) (V) (filming) …. Bruce

One thing is for sure: we will have to wait almost 7 months to see a new episode from Heroes, this gives us enough time to watch Lost and Prison break from start to the end

If Epic Movie sucked then Meet the spartans is a catastrophe |
I accidentally saw the trailer of Meet the spartans on a movie previews website and to be honest it looked great and fun, but after watching it i realized that the sucks so bad.
If you like parodies than you probably saw Epic movie which has a 2.3/10 rating on IMDB and was one of the worst movies made in 2007. Heck,Epic Movie is nothing compared to Meet The Spartans where you laugh more of the way the movie is made and the crap filming and storyline. The only cool things in this movie were Carmen Electra’s breasts. Really.
In the movie they make fun of:
300 & Transformers - The whole movie is a parody of 300. In the wild Leonidas will become turn into a man from a boy after killing a large penguin which looks fake. In the movie all the spartan men are gay or bisexual because they do hi5 with women and kiss men. Leonidas will lead his army made out of 14 soldiers who were selected based on their appearance. The role of Xerxes the god king is played by that fat guy from Borat. The battle between the spartans and persians will consist in a rap battle. The huge presian army is made out of like 15 persian soldiers and a big blue screen behind them in which a hologram of the duplicated army is projected. In the end the spartans will be crushed by the robot in which Xerxes morphed into after finding the transformers cube.
Shrek – in the beginning where its shown the way the powerful spartan babies are selected, baby Shrek is in the main plan and he burps on the prophet who kicks him into the pit like a rugby ball(lol)
The movie also makes fun of Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.
It also makes fun of some other moves but the scenes were short and i don’t really remember because i wasn’t paying much attention, lol.

Conclusion: If you want to watch a boring “comedy” with VERY few funny moments then go ahead and watch Meet the spartans.
