Working on a new design for Folty Gallery |
In November/December last year i didn’t have much design work, but work started flowing in last month. Next to doing projects for which i actually get paid i’m doing design work for myself also.
For example, last sunday i opened up photoshop and started playing around a little. From the first step i decided that i’ll do a wood design. Check the design process below:
I started with a transparent background(always do) after which i applied a layer of brown color:

Went on the web and got some wood patterns after which i played around with photoshop render filters and gradients. Some parts didn’t turn out as i expected so i applied other layers of clouds erasing the extra spots:

Eventually this is what it got. It turned out way better than i expected, and IMO this design will rock the visitors socks off! The background is a main part of the design process, basically it defines all of the remaining elements and color.
