Have the heart to help the people in need |
Poverty is a global phenomenon which is present in each and every country in the world. There will always be poor people who because of lack of knowledge, accident or misshappening got out on the streets, where they have to spend the rest of their lives.
It’s not easy to loose everything (like your house) and be forced to live on the streets regardless of weather it’s cold or warm, or sun or rain. The streets become your home and the only chance of survival is to collect bottles or paper and turn it in, or to become a beggar and rely on people with a heart to help you.
Here in Romania day by day i see lots of beggars, and people who live on the streets. Yes it’s true that many beggars are annoying and some of them are even violent, but think of the others who live on the streets and are happy fi they raise enough to buy a small bread every day.
Here’s how you can help:
- Don’t throw away your worn-out clothes or shoes, give it to those who need it. There’s a saying: “One man’s trash is the other man’s treasure” which is absolutely correct.
I always pass my worn-out clothes and shoes to the people in need. For example last sunday i gave 6 used shoes to a family living on the streets who really needed it. The look on their faces was hearttouching.
- Sign-up as a volunteer at help centers where they serve meals for the poor. Any help center will appreciate some extra help. Even 30 minutes of your time can make a difference.(btw: chicks dig guys who like to help others -> you got better chances to get a girlfriend)

- Donate money to foundations like the Grameen Foundation or UNICEF to help the poor and help the children to have a better life.
- Buy Promotional items from which the income will be donated to helping the poor.
- Spread the word by writing articles about poverty and engaging other people to help the poor.
Helping others will give you a better life perspective, just put yourself in their shoes, wouldn’t you cry for help if you were in their position?
