PhpWiki: a PHP WikiWikiWeb
A WikiWikiWeb is a web site where anyone can edit the pages through an HTML form. Linking is done automatically on the server side; all pages are stored in a database. This may sound rather simplistic, but a Wiki is a very unique way to collaborate on the Web.
Main Website: http://phpwiki.sourceforge.net/
Demo Website: http://freewiki.info/phpwiki
Support Forums: http://sourceforge.net/forum/?group_id=6121
Installation
Step 1: Head over to the phpwiki download center and get the latest release.
Step 2: Create a fresh new database name.
Step 3: upload the files on your web server using a FTP client (e.g. SmartFTP)
Step 4: Go to yoursite.com to begin the installation.
Step 5: Part zero is optional. You can leave it like that.
Step 6: Part one: Click show options and enter your wiki name, your admin name and password, you can also change the other settings, but i suggest you leave them as they are.
Step 7: Part two. Click show options and enter your database information.
Also you can edit the other settings, but i recommend that you leave them as they are.
Step 8: Part four. From here you can change the theme and language.
Step 9: Now you just have to go trough all the settings and edit them as you like. If you don’t know what some settings can do, it’s better that you leave them as they are.
Step 10: Click save config/config.ini
Step 11: If your config.ini file could not be written, just copy the above configuration, and save it as a config.ini file and copy it in the config/ directory.
Congratulations. You’ve succesfully installed Phpwiki. Go to yoursite.com and visit your phpwiki site.
