Choose from 16 Yahoo! Messenger online status indicators

I had to build an email subscription manager for my colleagues at college, and because here Yahoo! messenger is so popular i decided to put an online indicator. I was amazed to see that the guys at yahoo made new online/offline indicators, the total number of indicators being 16.

To tell you the truth the indicators are really funky and i really like them because they are creative and attract attention. Unfortunately yesterday i used a classic online indicator, because that was what fit the best.

To insert a online indicator into your website/blog you have to use the following code:

<a href=”ymsgr:sendIM?YOUR ID HERE“><img border=”0″ src=”http://opi.yahoo.com/online?u=YOUR ID HERE&m=g&t=NUMBER FROM 0 to 16“/>

Check out a few of the status indicators:

Choose the one you like and add it to your website. Happy Instant messaging!

does this indicator whether i’m online or offline in yahoo?? can it be seen by my friends on my website??

The indicator changes depending on your status: if you’re online it shows that you’re online if not than it shows that you’re offline.

Yes, if you add an indicator to your website your visitors will be able to see if your online or offline in real time

    cheers,
    Tom

    hiii :)
i desperately need your help with this indicator thing.
i’ve added the code to my multiply page.
then i turned my messenger on and appear as online (not in invisible mode), after that i refresh my multiply page but the indicator still appears as offline…i’ve refreshed the page few times and still wont work.

FYI, since im a very curious person…i change the code with my friend’s id (her status was online), it worked…and her status indicator went offline (after i refresh the page) by the time she logged off.

So, i googled to find similar problem and also tried all possible solutions.
i’ve checked every possible misconfigurations on my yahoo profile.

but it stays the same. HELP!
sorry for the grammar, not my native language…but hopefully you understand what i mean. LOL

    regards & many thanks!
