You see web hosting affiliate programs all around the web, but you don’t see many domain name registrars offering an affiliation program to webmasters, that’s because there aren’t many.
One of the registrars that has a partner program is Triple.com . As you can see from the start even the registrar’s domain name is a premium domain which is worth a med-high 6 digit value if it would be posted up to auction. This offers extra credibility and insurance both to those who register domains and those who participate in the partner program. An other thing that enhances credibility is that Triple.com is an ICANN accredited domain registrar.
Their partner program just got started, but they have a very attractive offer:
- you can earn up to 30% from a customer’s purchases( you will earn 25% (30% after the accreditation) of all the payments that the referred customer will make)
- you also earn up to 15% of the earnings of the webmasters that sign up for the partner program under your referral id( you will earn 10% (15% after the accreditation) of all the referred webmaster earns)
- an automated system is handling the payments which are made every month(every week after accreditation)
- the minimum payment amount is $20
Registration is easy and takes less than a minute. This means that in max 3 minutes you can have your ref link setup and you are ready to earn some money.
Although the parners area looks simple it features lots of nifty features and an advanced tracking system. As I stated a few rows above the partner program is new, this meaning that for a short while you won’t find banners in the promo area.
As said the tracking system is pretty advanced, you can take a closer look at it by checking out the picture on the left.
You can notice that the table is divided intro 4 main categories:
Links Hits - shows you the number of clicks from your referral url
New Customers - the number of customers that you referred
New Referrals - the number of webmasters that signed up under your referral link
Earnings - your NET earnings
Here’s why it can be profitable to participate in a domain registrar’s affiliate program:
Web hosts offer a % of commission from sales. The thing at webhosts is that in order to get 50$ commission for example the customer has to pay $100+(one year of hosting).
At domain registrars a domain is relatively cheap compared to web hosts. For example a domain at Triple Domain Registrar costs $9.99, this means that for every sold domain you will earn 3$. At this point you might say that 3$ is nothing compared to 50$. True. But think about how much time it would take you to get a customer to sign up at a web host where he has to sepnd $100+.
Now ask yourself: isn’t it more profitable to refer a customer/day and earn 3$/day than to refer a customer to a web host and earn $50 in 6months?
