Here’s a video in which i will present to you the structure of a hard drive. Starting from the jumper and IDE connector area to the structure of the platter you will find out most of the stuff you need to know about a hard drive.
In this video i dissembled my old Matrox hard drive which died on me, it’s main boot sectors are screwed and has lots and lots of BAD on it.
