2012 Doomsday – One of the worst movies i’ve ever seen |
Today i decided to watch 2012 Doomsday because i wanted to watch a cool sci-fi movie. It turned out that the movie is crap.
Starting from the storyline to the way the actors act and the way the scenes were filmed. I don’t understand how can someone produce/direct/write a such horrible movie. No wonder it’s rated 1.6 stars over at IMDB.
The main storyline of the movie is that the world stops turning and volcanoes start to erupt, tornadoes are formed and unusual activities of nature appear(snow in Mexico).
The whole movie’s storyline is made around the plot that the Mayans 2000 years ago predicted that this will happen and now 4 people need to save the world(ye,yes they are all americans and all of them have the feeling that they have to go to the pyramid).
Even from the beginning of the movie you can notice how sucky the filming is and how it shows that it might be a low-budget movie.
The most important scene of the movie is that scene where scientists from US geological survey center(all of them are americans) figure out what’s going on. – this is what’s funny at most low budget hollywood movies, in each part of the world everyone speaks fluent english and Americans always save the world without the help of other countries.
The funniest part was when Lloyd is talking to his daughter who’s in Mexico. The line is breaking up and for like 1 minute the frames are switching between the 2 characters who are yelling to each other “I love you!”
My suggestion is that if you don’t want to waste your time don’t watch this movie. It blows.

DAMN that movie sucks. I’m Christian and even I thought that was one of the WORST movies ever produced. Good thing I didn’t pay for it, ( Give me back my bandwidth ISOHunt!!!)
Technically: this is one of the worst movies ever
Idea: Here you can see how shallow minded church thinks her believers are. They are crafting history as they please and this movie is pure arrogance.
This is the most awful film I have ever seen,
The plot line, acting, set design and graphics were actually laughable.

Worst movie of the century. I realize we are only 9 years into the 21st century, but I find in near impossible that in the next 91 years a worse movie will be made.
I’m amazed it has an 80% fresh rating on rottentomatoes…

2012 has nothing to do with christianity i dont know why ppl say shit about christians because even in the bible god says he comes as a thief in the night meaning no one really knows when the world will end cuz im christian and i dont belive the world will end on 2012…
I got the same bible thumper one in Bangkok that was a bootleg being sold with the Rolo Emmerich movie stuff on the dvd and the sleeve and it sucked, but the actual 2012 by rolo sucked as well. After that rediculous scene flying through the wreckage you can walk out of THE 2012 movie because it sucked almost as bad as the lame assed born again one. Same old same old. The rolo emerich is another Micael Cimino, only instead of lame assed twisted US history movies as seen through some Italian’s eyes (Deer Hunter) it is another sorry assed world disaster flick.
I agree… this movie is the worst movie i ve ever seen… How they could destroy all the mayan prophecy in just over an hour…

Jeez … yeah the movie sucks so bad , I regret I spent my time watching it … Sound effects suck , video effects are reaaaaally bad , like the guy was driving a big SUV and only one ice ball hit the whole window ?! and when the girl left with the car , the window was fixed … that was like … LOL … MOVIE SUCKS …

If you really wiant to learn the actual story behind December 21, 2012 , I suggest you do some serious research on the internet or dig into some Mayan books. Doomsday 2012 is much more than just a Hollywood script. If you look carefuly into the 2012 end-date, there is some actual science behind it. In fact, there is an abundance of “coincidences” that transpire in 2012. This is the completion of both the Mayan AND Aztec calendars, plus a rare galactic alignment and various other celestial anomalies happen in 2012. Do yourself a favor and do the research. Think for yourself rather than dismiss everything based on fear or ignorance about the Mayan Calendar.
2012 really sucks. But you are wrong, the “americans” with a small “a” didn’t save the world. It was the Chinese who saved the world with their factories who built those ships. This movie was a big hit in China, who proudly celebrated at movie theaters in China. Expect more and more movies to include stories revolving somehow around the Chinese (The New Karate kid is already here).
This movie was a low-budget piece of crap if there ever was one. It was all one big attempt to indoctrinate people into the born-again mentality. First of all, the special effects were laughable. The producers even committed the unforgivable sin of using stock footage. A volcano erupts? Use stock footage of an actual eruption. Then they had characters suffering really pointless deaths, like one girl who scratches her back getting out of a car and bleeds to death. Then they clumsily work some claptrap about the rapture into the storyline. The people who made this probably thought they were doing something that was beyond the ability of nonbelievers to accomplish.
You think this one was bad, you should watch 2012: Ice Age. Makes this look like a candidate for the Oscars.
