The demo of the new theme moved to My Test Blog until we get all the bugs fixed

The theme is fully functional, up and running!

It might look a bit messed up and buggy in some browsers(i’m talking about crap IE 6 here) but till next week all the bugs will be fixed and it will look good in all browsers.

Me and BETng4U are really pissed at this moment, because the installation of IE8 messed up our multiple IE’s and now all of our internet explorers are buggy. It’s not enough that IE6 sucks so hard IE8 comes and f**ks it up even more.

Here’s a screencap BETng4U asked me to post up:

I asked a few fellow webmasters to check it out and send me screen captures, and i noticed a few bugs, but now i submitted my blog index to browsershots to check it out in 44 browsers on 1024×768 resolution. The screen cap’s will be ready in approximately 90 minutes, so we will have to wait till then to check out stuff and confirm that is it ok or not in most browsers. If it has major issues in some browsers i will put back the Loveblog theme.

One thing’s for sure: It looks OK in firefox and period.

I just checked the browser stats at w3schools and the ie6 usage dropped from 32% to 30,7%, this means that if we’re lucky in max 2 years IE6 usage will drop down below 5%.

Now lets get back to more pleasant things:

I really like the new design, it looks more professional and the colors are more pleasant to the eye than bright colors. This design change will cause me lots of problems because as said in a previous post i will have to change each picture’s white background to transparent and edit colors in posts. Editing 200+ posts isn’t child play and can eat up more than 3-4 hours.

Don’t let all the Lorem Ipsum filling scare you, by the end of next week it will be changed and i’m sure you will like the design even more.

Because of the many bugs that popped up i switched back to Loveblog Theme until we sort out all the bugs and get the theme working correctly in all browsers(yes, yes the crappy IE6 included)

IE8 messed up so hard my multiple IE’s that i had to restore a system checkpoint(best thing microsoft made) before the installation of IE8 and now everything is working fine. I’m waiting for BETng4U to get up(he’s taking his afternoon sleep) and we will start working on it.

Eventually the theme WILL be up, but it might take a bit more time than expected
