Remember my post which contained a ping list supplied by Ernest? Well i also used that ping list and noticed that my traffic increased with almost 30%! Taking in consideration that i did almost nothing to achieve the extra traffic you can say that it’s worth it to use the ping list.

Not just pinging can increase traffic to your blog, but directories can bring a constant flow of traffic to your blog also. Not all blog directories can bring you good traffic, and it’s not worth filling your sidebar with links to blog directories which don’t get you any traffic.
