Pictures from the full lunar eclipse |
Yeah, i know i’m posting the pictures a bit late, but i just didn’t have the time to do it till now.
You are post probably aware of the Full lunar eclipse that took place on the night of February 20 to 21, and that the next full lunar eclipse will be in 2010.
I found out about it on February 20 at about 5PM from a friend. I told the news to all of my friends from my city and some said they will get up and watch it from the window. An other friend told me he’s very excited about it and we should go to the top of a hill where’s darkness and we can watch it in peace and quiet.I agreed.
Because of some design work i went to sleep at 1AM and got up at 4AM so i can meet up with him and go to watch the lunar eclipse.
At 4:15 we were on the top of the hill in a smaller parking lot, next to the road. I never regret that i got up so early and went to see the lunar eclipse. It was a beautiful sight, i saw the way the moon got covered by the shadow of the earth and when it got cleared out and started shining bright again.
Saturn was also visible, we were lucky that there was good weather and the sky was clear. The only problem was that there were -10 celsius degrees and a damn cold wind was blowing.
We stayed there till 7AM when we decided to go home. On our way home we stopped at a gas station where we drank some coffee and we went home and went to sleep. Heck i slept 7 hrs but when i woke up i felt more tired than when i went to sleep, lol.
Both of us took pictures of the phenomenon, i was really luck that my friend had a SEMI-Professional camera and he took very decent pictures. I also got a few good shots, but my digicam is nothing compared to his.
I sorted the 200 pictures we took and uploaded only those which turned out the best:
