I just bought a new and shiny Nokia 2610. My old siemens just died on me so i had to get a new phone.
I was in a dilemma for quite a while about what phone to buy, originally i wanted to buy an LG KG245 phone for 170$ but my friends slapped me back to reality saying: “dude, it’s just a phone, either if its worth 10 bucks or 1000bucks you will do the same thing on it: talk”.
So i bought the Nokia 2610 due to pressions from my friends to buy a good phone that will last long, heck i also got a 2 year warranty.
The phone’s price was 73$ along with a SIM prepay card from the cellphone operator ORANGE.
The Phone can be put in the middle category of phones. It is an average phone, not too old, not too new. Even though i have it for a day i can say that i’m very pleased of it.
The best thing in it is that it doesn’t have a joystick, it has 4 arrows next to the middle OK button which are for navigation. I heard that many people had bad experiences with phones which have a joystick in the middle for navigation, because they are very sensitive and can be messed up in a short amount of time

Here are the Nokia 2610’s features:
- 128×128 px Display with 65,536 colors
- it supports screensavers, themes and wallpapers
- you can store 300 entries in its phonebook
- 4MB memory
- it features SMS, MMS, Email, Instant Messaging
- GPRS support
- possibility to use MIDI files and mp3 files for ringtones
- connectivity using an USB data cable
- as default it has 2 games installed: coin flipping and nature park
If you are looking for a compact phone which won’t let you down this phone is ideal for you, the only disadvantage is that it doesn’t have a camera.
