Styleicious Web 2.0 Wordpress template – The GREAT LAUNCH!

Wooohoo!!! you have no idea how thrilled i am to announce that starting from this moment you can download my latest wordpress template with ajax addons!

Me and my coder(BetNG4U) invested lots of work to make this template what it is and for more than 20 hours we debugged it and improved it to work perfectly. BetNG4U even modified the rating system, because it had some javascript errors and didnt work in IE6. Each time we revised it problems appeared, but finally we fixed everything and everything looks cool.

Check out some of the screenshots on 4 resolutions:

As you see there aren’t any distortions and the style is 100% fluid and doesn’t have ugly overflows or such, meaning The theme works flawlessly.

You will not have any sponsored links in the footer, only a link-back to my blog which i kidnly ask you to keep.

And last but not least : it is 100% compatible with Wordpress v 2.3.1!

We added AJAX Features to the theme like:

AJAX search

AJAX comment posting

AJAX page navigation (AJAX powered Page navigation will only work if you don’t use mod rewrite, since there are unlimited options to rewrite the URL’s in the admin panel we couldn’t make the AJAX page navigation work with all of them, so only those who have default URL’s will be able to use it(don’t worry, you won’t miss much if you use mod rewrite, in the matter of fact the pages will load a bit faster)

Installation of the theme:

The inststalation of the theme is extremely easy and consists in 4 simple steps:

1) Download the zip archive and extract it.

2) Upload the contents of the “upload” folder to “wp-content” folder on your server.

3) Go to your admin panel and at “Presentation” activate the theme.

4) In admin panel at plugins activate WP-PostRatings

5) Enjoy the theme!

6) Those of you who downloaded the theme before bugs we’re fixed and are facing problems please download the updated package and re-upload it.

7) Make sure you check back once-a-while for updates and bug fixes!

Changelog:

8th November 2007 – Fixed the menu and the bug that was making pages saved as drafts to appear in the menu

10th November 2007 – Fixed footer bug, made the footer fluid so if you have lots of tags footer won’t get messed up

12th November 2007 – Anand came accross a sidebar bug, it seems that in ie the middle sidebar(the one with ads) overflows on the footer, this happened because we fixed the footer bug and messed it up, The bug has been fixed

13th November 2007 – The overflowing textbox BUG that was appearing in IE6 has been fixed

    I just uploaded your theme on my site as I thought it would be a great new style to try out. However I keep getting this error message down where the search bar is:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_search_query() in ##FOLDER_LISTING##/wp-content/themes/Styleicious/searchform.php on line 2

    I disabled all plugins except Akismet and Advanced Admin Menus and still received the error. Thought I would let you know. I can’t wait until I can try this out.

    I failed to mention that I am running WP 2.1 with the Redoable theme right now. Do I need to upgrade to 2.3? I would but I’m worried some of my plugins will fail.

    Hello!

    I am sure that this theme will have many fans, and I am between them. The theme is good, clean, fast. Sadly, I have some problems. Would be great, if they are mine, not themes’.

    I have a static page, set as Draft, but when I use your theme, it’s there. It is important for me, because I have few pages, that I must show only at particular moments, not all the time. I don’t have enough time to make experiments right now, but I will check it again when I’m back home. Again: I hope that the problem is with me. :)

    And again – very nice and clean theme! Great job! ;)

    Hai, I would like to have an another 3-Column section at the top like whats now at the bottom of the template now. Could you tell me how can i add like that ? So that i can display Recent Posts, Comments & Top Commenters at the top of the page.

    OK, I will try to explain better this time:

    I have few static pages, which I am not using all the time. I mean, they are set as drafts, so the regular visitors can’t see them. With your theme, even set as draft, the pages are shown. I will try to make a screenshot when I am able to.

    Hey its having some bugs in the sidebar man. Please take a look at the sidebar in http://earn-cah.in

    Then, the Recent posts showed in the Footer is not following the permalink we have set. I think it will leads to a duplicate content.

    So please take a look at them and correct the errors man.

    Also if possible please add a three column sections like in the footer at the top. So that it will be better to show the Top Commentators, Recent Comments, & Ads

    I hope you will solve these quickly.

    I am waiting for this fix, and i like to have this theme on my blog at http://earn-cash.in so please could you able to solve these quickly ?

    Great theme… I am using it… and Hoping that someone can help with a couple of tweaks…

    1. I use ShareThis plugin and in doing so if someone clicks on the Share This link on the bottom message on the main blog page it loads the Share This popup UNDER the 3 column footer.

    2. I would like to use a format of:

    MOST RECENT BLOG POST in FULL

    google ad

    NEXT XX number of Posts as excerpts only.

    I’d done this with another theme that I tweaked around for what seemed like forever in the index.php and while in the loop I go through a have posts loop and grab and display the first post with this type of a statement (from Wordpress forums), the have posts if statement is then closed and I do my adsense posting and then I do a have posts again and go through ID)) : ?>
    < ?php if($count % 2 == 0) echo ”; else echo ”; ?> posting the next posts… I can’t seem to figure out where/how to place this stuff…

    Couple of other little things…

    1. The sidebar closest to the content seems to want to center the titles of the widget name… How can I left justify it like the sidebar on the right?

    2. Change the Order of the Page Menu in the Header and DO NOT include the sub pages.

    3. Integrate blog search into the theme.

    great theme! But when i try to leave a comment (logged in or logged out) i get an error:

    the comment still does show up…. but that is the page it goes too. That is the error if i am commenting as a guest, if i am logged in and try to comment it gets a similar error but only one line of code

    Is this theme compatible with Wordpress MU 2.3.1? I have uploaded the theme and everything apears to work except the default post is not showing up, which leads me to believe that it isn’t compatible. If it is then I will dig further to find my problem, just didn’t want to debug if I didn’t have to. :)

    This is a great theme and I hope I will be able to utilize it! Thanks for all your hard work.

    to be honest i never tried it on MU, so i can’t tell you if its compatible or not

    The theme is very appealing. However, it seems to have problems using Safari 3.0.4.
    The Header title and page nav buttons do not show. Also the comment button on each post doesn’t work. If I browse with Firefox it’s all working perfectly. Any suggestions?

    That’s great news, good luck catching the gremlin!

    I have one other question—the color background on the wide “posts” column can sometimes interfere with graphics. Is there a simple way to leave the sidebars as is and turn the post background white?

    Okay so I tried to use my brain (or rather spotlight found ad.jpg in sidebar.php) so I deleted

    <img src=”/images/ad.jpg” style=”display:block;margin:0px auto;” alt=”" />

    Hope this was right and not a secret code to launch armageddon….

    Thanks! Great – and on the no title, comments issue it is a Mac (Safari) thing as per previous posts.

    Can I make a donation to you (PayPal or whatever) for a fix (or even a hack using a image header I can post from Photoshop or something) – I really need this to work Cross Browser – I’m going to ask for some seed capital for a start up and styleicious is set to be my blog? Cheers, Paul

    I just uploaded your theme on my site http://www.blog.1center.net. i use wordpress 2.3.1. I have found a bug, comment form is not work propperly. i have take test to fill comment form, but after click submit comment and refresh, comment i just submit not show. what’s wrong with my site?

    @ mubarok – you probably set comments on moderated, meaning that you have to approve the comments before they appear

    What about tag pages? I’m finding that alot of my traffic is coming from tag pages. I didn’t see any settings for true/false with regard to tag pages. Thx.

    and another problem is the footer, when i rewrite the url as permanent forms, the url forms of posts like the recent posts still appear as p=?id… i cannot figue it out , so i remove the footer temporarily :(

    hi i like ur theme most but i faced a problem with firfox 3.5 the middle column disappeared
    only at firefox
    i turned it into rtl mode to fit my language but i left columns at the right as it is
    also i hava a problem with some widgets that appear despite disabled like blogroll & catagories & archieves so plz help wanna use it badly

    Hi Tom,

    First of all, I’d like to thank you for this great template before my questions.
    I’ve installed it on WP 2.8.5 turkish version and I see duplicate parts on my blog. For example there are two categories, one in english and other one is in turkish. This is same for archives. Do you have any idea why this happens?

    Also for rating system, should I install extra program?

    A step by step would be appreciated. I tried looking in appearance, and edit>themes… but couldn’t find it.

    great theme…how can i remove the page tabs at the top of the page….I hate having tabs there. the only exception would be to leave a home tab.
