still i think i'm their "favorite" customer because i argue with them over any problem

you are right about the guys/girls at support, some of them really suck, i asked Jan(one of the admins) that from now on my support tickets to be checked only by admins or by people who can point me in right direction and not tell me absurd answers
for example: in my last ticket Julie told me to change SMTP port that php_mail() uses from 25 to 2525

absurd huh? especially because I DONT HAVE ACCESS TO PHP.ini

about your mysql problem

i also had that problem, but now its ok

tell them to setup a database on a 2 digit value server(10-99) because as i noticed those are working good

cheers,
Tom

That's so sad. That's the worst hosting I've ever seen. Considering that everything on my site is based on mysql... Also I can't believe how many complaints I've found all over the internet about this hosting.

Their support is a joke, a few clueless people that copy/paste you useless premade answers like "Everything is fine, thank you" or "All looks good, check your script, have a nice day", even bots are smarter!

Their control panel is poor and ridiculous. I saw free hosting with more advanced stuff than those guys with their "super technology". I decided to become a "customer" of servage because I don't need to use their panels at all. I do everything via ftp/mysql so I thought well panels are poor and useless atleast their servers are fast as someone who referred them assured me. Oh My God!

Errors over errors! I had to rewrite and chop half of my script to have them working on this cheap ass hosting! After the first three tickets that I sent to support I released that's not even a support but a joke!

After a few months I got a major issue, mysql_connect(), couldn't connect to the selected database because their server been dying like every hour. I contacted them and a human bot called Shelly told me guess what?? "it' all fine". Then in the next reply she suggested to create a new database on another server and to export my existing one. I did and I couldn't believe! Getting the same error but this time the server wasn't even synchronized! LOL. The time was wrong. It has a big delay in minutes. All the queries that use unix timestamp were screwed up, with all the people having a negative amount of time for their activity (like Last Seen: -1550 seconds ago) etc I contact them again explaining everything with exemples and stuff (knowing that their are dumber than google bot, which is smart by the way) and this time Nick does the Big move! He sent me a link to a tutorial about GMT from php.com when I don't use GMT at all but their server unix epoch converted into standard time date by a simple php script.

So ladies and getlemen, if you are looking for quality hosting and servage appears in your research hold Alt and hit F4 quickly, before is too late!

BEWARE AND DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!

If you go over your disk space, they DELETE your content. You get only one warning ever, so the ver y next time it happens their techs remove random directories until you are under the limit. They have no way to restrict space other than the delete button.

Likewise if you go over 400K hits per day regardless of bandwidth they also freeze your server for 24hrs.

Very bad practice. Try dreamhost, at least they have proper servers and all the right bits installed too, servage have a crippled PHP base so you'll find many progs wont even work on their boxes.

(Lets not even go into the dubious websites they also host that you'll be sharing space with.)

I have had nothing but trouble from these people from the start. The technicians give ridiculous standard answers and appear to only have the most basic of knowledge about the systems. They have problems with anything but the most basic of setups. Even standard HTML sites are closed down or suspended because of supposed high loads on the processors, their MySQL interface with php is a joke as it is ridiculously slow to the point of being unuseable most of the time and the technical support is a series of stonewall standard answers from people who do not appear to understand the technology they are supposedly administering. Once my subscriptions are finished I'm outta there. Life's too short.
