In April this year ICANN( Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) approved certain domain registries to increase their price. This way VeriSign(.com, .net tld’s), Afilias(.info tld), Neulevel (.biz tld)and Public Interest Registry(.org tld) got approvement to raise their prices. This way they will raise wholesale prices to all domain registrars(and this way to resellers also).

Today Namecheap announced that staring from Sunday October 14th 2007 they will raise the price on .com,.net,.org,.info,.biz domains. The price modification won’t be big(less than half of US dollar):

I’ve been buying domains from namecheap for more than a year and the prices we’re constant, and in my opinion they will hold the current pricing for more than 1-2 years.
